One thing I've appreciated about Pastor Mike's leadership - he keeps prayer central.In a trip like this, it's easy to get caught up in the details, the planning... And I can sure do that as well as anyone else.
But honestly, that usually comes back to a sense of control. We feel that if we plan everything, nothing should go wrong. We're trying to be in control.
But that's not how God works. And what we're supposed to be doing is praying first. Then, how to plan things will be clear and God will be in charge of all things.
So I appreciate the amount of time we spend in prayer (about a quarter of each meeting). And for those reading, we covet your prayers. It's really the best way you can support us!

That is one thing I have realized during my own prayer time as well. we can prepare and prepare, but we will never be fully prepared if we rely on our own efforts. no matter what, God has his own plans in mind, and surely there will be something that comes up that we were completely NOT prepared for. but it is no matter, because if God brings us TO it, He will bring us THROUGH it~
