Each of us has been called from a different place, for a different reason. But in our diversity, God creates strength and unity. See our profiles for more information.
This blog is a place for us to share our photos and experiences. Join us, and let's see what God has planned!
Our Purpose
We will support the local missionaries and their ministry. They operate a Mexican food restaurant along with 4 partners to manage, do quality control and finances. This affords them the ability to focus on and spend the majority of their time doing church planting. This work is a process (in accordance with Acts and Mark 4:26 - 29) that is in 5 parts:
1. Entry (going among the people to find ones to share with),
2. Gospel Witness (sharing the Gospel and their Testimony),
3. Discipleship (discipling believers),
4. Church Formation (helping form disciples into churches), and
5. Leadership Development (raising up leaders in churches and sending out church planters
into new areas).
We will be helping them with 1 & 2 (going among the people and sharing the Gospel and our testimony).
In addition, there are many monasteries and nunneries in the area, we will visit them and share with them. While walking around we will be prayer walking. Specifically, for light to be shown on every lie satan has wielded into their lives. That the light of His Holy Spirit be seen. That His voice will be heard over all the "noise" in life. That any false idols will fall down and be revealed.
And then, in the mornings we will help the nationals with their English skills. We chose to share mostly Bible stories. We will present vocabulary exercises, comprehension questions and games for each story. During our session, we will also present to them the Salvation Bracelet Story. If you are familiar with the Wordless Book then you will understand the meaning of the Salvation Bracelet. A different color will be introduced to them, and the meaning behind it, adding a bead each day to eventually make a bracelet. They can wear these bracelets as a reminder of hope in God and hopefully come to know Christ. Please see below for more explanation.
- YELLOW - God loves us and desires a relationship with us. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
- BLACK- Sin is what separates us from God. We choose to disobey God. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
- Red - Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, paying the price and penalty for our sin. He provided the only way to God. "But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Roman 5:8
- White- When we become Christian God cleanses us from all unrighteousness and washes us whiter than snow." But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin." 1 John 3:5 "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." Isa 1:18 NKJ
- Blue- One of our first acts of obedience is to publicly confess our faith through baptism. " So then, those who had received His word were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls.." Acts 2:41 (NASB)
- Green We must now grow as a believer in all areas of our life. Looking at Jesus as our example. "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen." 2 Peter 3:18 NKJ
We are looking forward to this journey God has us on, and ask that you join us in prayer for this country and their people. If you would like to financially help the team and these ministries, please contact us on how to do so.
