Hi everyone!!
I am going to take a deep breath before I start writing this! I’m still not sure if I’m doing the right thing because I don’t feel very comfortable writing about something so personal for everybody to see…but I am just going to DO IT so I can proclaim my conviction! AND NEVER TURN BACK! For those of you who care about me, read on and please try to be nice? because this was definitely not an easy decision to make!
Ever since I started my walk with God last year, my life has been so FULLFILLING, HAPPY, and JOYOUS not to mention my heart growing with feelings of compassion, thirst for knowledge, and heartbreak for the unsaved. Not because my life is perfect and I have everything I want. But just getting to know Him, closer and closer, with whom I have had such a casual relationship with all my life is the greatest thing that happened in my life. There is great comfort resting in God’s arms where nothing here on earth seems as important as His Kingdom.
Which leads me now to the main purpose of this outburst!
I am participating in a short-term mission trip to Nepal, with 7 other devoted servants of God! Our team will depart on July 28th and return on August 6th. It all started with the notion of letting the gospel be known to all, and a yearning to experience the Lord in everyway I could! I also wanted to sacrifice something of mine for the Lord which in this case will be my one year’s worth of vacation.
My team and I will be teaching English at a local school in Nepal and spreading the gospel to the locals. I have no idea what will be waiting for me there but I only hope this will be the start of many many mission trips I will be making throughout my life. I'm also hoping through this step of faith I will grow more intimate with God so I will be able to influence more people during my daily life too...something I really need to work on :P I'm grateful for His Grace in letting me serve Him, even when I was unsure and in doubt...He lit the way before me so bright all I had to do was follow....such an experience!
One of the most important parts of a mission trip is having partners in serving. Most essential are your prayers! Please keep me in your prayers so that Christ's name will be glorified in everything that is done preparing for this trip...during our stay in Nepal..and even after we are back that they will remember us and know God.
I'm so thankful that God has put someone like YOU who read this to the end in my life!!!
Even if you do not know God yet~ just keep me in your thoughts!
All your thoughts and prayers mean a lot to me :D
